I am a fully trained Funeral Celebrant and as such I am available to work with the Funeral Director of your choice regarding your (the bereaved family’s) circumstances, instructions, and requests.
I trained as a Funeral Celebrant after the death of my father when, assisted by the Celebrant who performed his funeral, and whom had never met my father during his life, I was shown the beauty, the possibility and the necessity for the creation of meaningful and personal celebrations out of such significant loss.
I can say for you and your family the words that you may be unable to say. I will speak the words that you wish to be heard and spoken.
I will create a beautiful service based on your requests and requirements and I will listen to you (the bereaved family). My meeting with you may lead me to other family members or colleagues who, with your permission, may like to speak as part of the service.
My role as a your chosen Funeral Celebrant is to create a ‘celebration of life’, to develop a eulogy that is an accurate and authentic representation of the person who has died, paying tribute to all of their human qualities, relationships, joys and sorrows, milestones, and achievements, be they big or small.
My intention is to tread a short but significant path of the journey of those coming to terms with loss, grief and healing. Honouring a life with beautiful words, music and ritual to remind us that relationships are not finished in death, but that they take on a new form and significance in our lives.
I am able to produce (should you require it) a photo journal DVD matched with appropriate music which can be projected onto a large screen at the funeral service to visually reflect the life of the deceased and allow you to share your precious memories with those who have come to pay their final respects.
I charge an hourly fee in respect to Funeral Services.
